Updated: December 9, 2000 Stipend checks will be ready on 11/27/00. Please consult your Department Handbook if you have any questions about how the money is being divided up. Remember, only, "Active Status," members get a stipend. 'Active Status," means you've put in 24 hours during the year (36 hours if you're an Officer). We are also going to hold stipend checks hostage for a couple of other things we need done. If you attended any other training outside of the Department, we need copies of your certificates or some type of documentation that you attended/completed this training. (For many of you, this will be the deciding factor in determining whether you are "Active" and get a check). And finally, Interior Firefighters need to have completed and sent in your respirator questionnaire and had their physical and PFT with Healthworks.
And finally, as the calendar year comes to a close it is worth stopping for a moment and looking back. It has been a pretty amazing year! New SCBA, new Rescue Truck, lots of training and lots of calls. We had a lot to be thankful for and I know I am grateful for the support I have received as your Fire Chief. 2001 brings new challenges and opportunities. By working together we can tackle these head on and get even better. Thanks.
